The last phase is the most difficult one…Experimental phasing can leave u stuck at one point for a long time..Struggling to get a structure at this end.
Pretty much sums up my experiences. Expect I did not begin with lysozyme, so my experience did not have such a high rise then fall. Instead I was handed data that had twelve molecules in the AU, poor phasing, and was a nightmare to work with.

or instead of lysozyme, “crystallize and solve the structure of the solubility tag!” :O)

Yep – I bet this works for about any graduate program. Just pick the appropriate set of labels.
